The sign on courts with a Rividi camera reads: "Court with a Rividi camera. It films only the matches a player starts from the app: video only, no audio. Videos go to that player's Rividi account and stay until they or Rividi delete them. Info, objection and removal: getpointapp.com/filming"
This page explains in full who films, why, where the videos go, how long they stay and how to object or ask for removal. It applies to anyone playing on a court with a Rividi camera, including people who do not have the app.
The data controller is SPORTS AI TECHNOLOGIES S.R.L., Piazza Sedile San Marco 9, 76125 Trani (BT), P. IVA 09218020726, reachable at info@rividi.it.
1. Who films
The Rividi camera installed on the court records only when someone starts a recording: the player who starts it from the Rividi app or by scanning the court QR code, or the centre staff on behalf of the players. Without a start, the camera does not record.
Whoever starts the recording confirms that the players on court know about it and that the centre's sign is displayed.
2. What is filmed
- Video only, no audio.
- Only between the start and the stop of the recording.
- The view of the court: besides the players, people passing near the court may appear.
- No biometric identification: the automatic analysis detects positions and movements on the court to segment rallies and estimate highlights and statistics, but it does not recognise faces or identify people.
3. Why we film
- Giving players the video of their match, with automatic analysis, highlights and clips to watch back and share.
- Publishing the match in the Rividi community, under the rules in §7.
- Security of the service and abuse prevention.
4. Who processes the data
- Rividi is the data controller for the service: it stores the videos, analyses them, shows them in the community and answers requests.
- The sports centre is an independent controller for the signage only: it must display the sign with this notice on the court. It does not receive the players' contact details.
- The player who starts the recording is the account the video goes to and decides whether to keep or delete it.
[To be confirmed with counsel: the centre's role, independent controller or joint controller.]
5. Legal basis
We film matches on the basis of the legitimate interest of Rividi and of the players in recording and watching back their own matches (art. 6.1.f GDPR), balanced by the sign on the court, this notice, the confirmation given by whoever starts the recording and the right to object described in §9. For people with a Rividi account, the processing also provides the service they asked for (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
[To be confirmed with counsel: legitimate interest or consent.]
6. Guests and people without the app
People who play without a Rividi account are informed by the sign on the court and by the confirmation of whoever starts the recording; we do not record a separate consent for each guest. A guest can object to, or ask for the removal of, a video they appear in by writing to the address in §10.
7. Where the videos go and who sees them
- The video goes to the Rividi account of whoever started the recording and, once the match is published, to the community feed, visible to registered users.
- Players added to the match find it on their profile.
- The centre staff see the published matches recorded on their courts, with the players' public names and photos and never their contact details. They can hide them from the centre's surfaces, but not delete them.
- Sharing outside Rividi (links, images, clips) is allowed by default; any player added to the match can block it for everyone, anonymously. Blocking cannot recall copies already shared.
8. How long the videos stay
Videos and analyses stay for as long as the account of whoever recorded them exists, with no automatic expiry. They are deleted when the owner deletes the match or the account, or when Rividi removes them, for example after a report or an accepted removal request. Database backups follow the periods stated in the privacy policy.
9. Rights, objection and removal
Anyone who appears in a video can request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, and can object to being filmed and to the publication.
- From the app: on the match, the «Sono in questo video» ("I am in this video") request.
- By email: write to info@rividi.it with the centre, court, date and approximate time of the match.
- You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with your local supervisory authority.
